WELCOME

If you have an interest in the German Shepherd Dog, you have come to the right place. Our members are owners, breeders, trainers, and most of all, fans of this most versatile of breeds.

Our members take part in a wide variety of activities, from showing, herding, scent work, obedience, agility, schutzhund, therapy work, hiking -- and there are even a number of k-9 couch potatoes! For a full description check out the ACTIVITIES page.

The German Shepherd Dog Club of Oregon holds specialty dog shows, agility trials, obedience trials, and assorted other events of interest to the membership.

Check out our Breed Information page for a brief introduction and Breed FAQs for answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Our meetings are open to the public. If you are looking to learn about the breed, learn about dog shows, or just find someone to talk "dog" with, come join us! Our meetings and events are held in the Portland metro area.
